arrived with very low expectations after previous reviews. dry and warm on arrival so pitches were fine but signs of vehicles being in mud. electrics hit and miss. do check when connecting for earth!! toilets very old and in need of refurbishment. site needs some TLC. best feature is location. 40 minute walk to Cathedral along river. Lidl 15 minute walk or parking alongside. will use again as stopover. features marked low as not used.

Had a two night stay and had nice tapas from the bar. Reception was extremely helpful with phone problems that we had and helped with routes. Bar staff were great and takeaway was excellent. Nice atmosphere with walkers having coffees outside the bar. Only one wash lock open but plenty of hot water although tired facilities. Spotlessly clean. Would stay there again.

We stayed for 2 nights after getting off the Santander ferry. The site because it was January looked very tired. only one shower block was open. The showers were powerful and hot but the whole block was in need of a refurbishment and it also smelly. we did take advantage of the lovely river walk to the town. The cathedral was fabulous and also the climb up to the Castillo to take in the views across the city. The bars and cafes were full with everyone enjoying the sun. lots of people wearing masks even in the open.

Pleasant campsite for overnight stops. There was only one toilet block open, the ladies showers were good, plenty of hot water and very clean. my husband was not so impressed with the male showers, some tap heads were missing so limited number of shower cubicles available. the main issue was lack of water to fill motorhome, there were no taps available.
Good location for walking into Burgos along the river pathway.
The bar on site was good and very busy with locals, price of drinks reasonable and food available.

Just did an overnight stop but was very busy - felt more like an Aire; however quickly realised its great selling point was that it’s on the edge of town so quiet location and the easy level 2 mile cycle path along river all the way to the Cathedral / town was a joy. But dismissive initially but as a base we could be back!

Lugar muy accesible, con buenas instalaciones. Arboles majestuosos, parcelas amplias. Ubicación ideal para visitar una amable ciudad, Burgos. Excelente relación calidad precio, . Muy recomendable.

Large grass pitches with plenty of space as very few campers were around. Not all the electric points seem to work, but as it wasn’t busy it wasn’t a problem for us. Shower/toilet block is showing it’s age, but is clean and non-stop hot powerful showers were welcome. On-site bar is good to have and tapas looks interesting. It’s popular with the locals who seem to walk there along the river from Burgos. Burgos is a lovely cycle ride away on marked cycle paths, and a very smart city to visit. The cathedral is well worth the 7 euros entry fee. Negatives are that there is a permanent background industrial sound all day and night. Sounds like a factory or water works.

Stopped for a couple days en route home. Lovely campsite, only one toilet block open (which was clearly pointed out on check in), due to time of year, but nice and clean, heated and good hot showers. Didn\'t use restaurant/snack bar, but looked popular and nice smells coming from it when we passed. Helpful staff at reception. This city must have some of the best cycle routes around, direct to city and many others, plus plenty of walking for dogs which is important for us. Would definitely return again.

Perfectly located for a stop over between the Northern ferry ports and the Southern Costas. The cycle routes into Burgos are fabulous, flat, smooth tarmac and separated from the road and traffic by fences so very safe.

Stopped at this site on the way back from Southern Spain to Santander. Sat nav took us straight to the door using coordinates. The receptionist was very friendly and spoke good English. We were going to use our ACSI card but as we didn\'t have the 2020 card they charged us their rate. The pitches were fine, some had been churned up a but there was plenty of choice. When we arrived there were very few van on site, but the following night it was nearly full. We pitched up and connected to what was a old concrete EHU point. We had a problem with this EHU as it was an old unit and wasn\'t earthed properly. When our dog put his paw on the metal step he received a bit of a jolt! We informed reception, and they apologised saying they would investigate it. We plugged into the newer stainless steel EHU and had no problems at all.

There are four toilet blocks, only one being open as it was January. It was very clean and warm with plenty of hot water and the showers were extremely powerful. The only fresh and waste water points we could find were behind the toilet block, as was the chemical disposal unit. We used the laundry facilities which were quite reasonable and very efficient.

We needed to get the tapeworm treatment necessary to return to the UK with our dog. The receptionist gave us the number of a local vet (Clinic Gamonal). We walked down on the afternoon to book our dog in for the next day. It was easy to find following Google maps, and easy to walk there from the campsite. They were extremely friendly and one vet spoke English. The charge was 15 euros, which is much less than visiting a vet nearer to Santander.

There are lovely dog walks to be found just outside the site, and some parts where you can let your dog off the lead.

Burgos itself is a fairy large City, and we walked through part of the City centre. We had intended to walk to the Cathedral which is by all accounts very impressive, but ran out of time as we had the appt with the vet. It is, however, a very good reason to return to complete our tour around. The City is very clean with lovely statues and buildings. We hope to return later this year and stay for a few days this time.
