As a frequent traveller to this site, the friendliness and cleanliness are second to none. The amenities and facilities are all suitable for my disabled wife and it is very dog friendly. The pitches are a good size and private with everything you could wish for. Location and surrounding areas are also very good. All in all an excellent site and suitable for all ages

Just spent a few weeks at this site, it would have been longer but due to the state of emergency the site has to close. The site is situated on the edge of the town and about 20 minutes walk to the beaches and mariner. I cannot believe that this is only a four star site. All the pitches are large the bathrooms are spotless. No problems negotiating the site roads 8m motorhome. A very good site restaurant which is open all day excellent food with a good varied menu. The pitches all have water, drainage and TV connection as standard, WIFI is an extra. The mettle of reception staff op was severely tested due to the changing circumstances. The staff were excellent under very stressful situation, they were always helpful and pleasant to deal with. For children there was the sports fields with various activities and swimming pools. The site shop is quite small but the bread which is baked on site was very good. Supermarkets and other restaurants are not that far away. Having stayed I can see why there is a waiting list for pitches during the winter months. We will be returning.

First time to stay here. Found the facilities second to none. The staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us. There is plenty of interesting plasmce to visit in the immediate area.

We stayed on this great site for a week. The pitches are huge. Plenty of room for two MHs with awnings out!! Water/EHU/TV Cable & drain all on the pitch. We ate in the restaurant several times. The quality of food was excellent. If you like a good salad go for the small size, like the pitches it is huge, and for the price brilliant value. Afternoon coffee & cake (huge slice) incredible. All the staff we met where really lovely. The two outdoor pool areas looked amazing but unfortunately where not open during our stay. However there is an indoor spa pool & gym which where really good. There is a small but well stocked shop also a great play ground & sports area for the kids. There are a few local pubs (Moons pub special thanks for showing the rugby for us ) & restaurants although a bit of a walk away. The beach is fabulous even though its a good 5 minutes on the bike... worth the trip. Pilar de Horadada has a lovely marina with fab views with many cafe/restaurants. We found having bikes an advantage. The area is all flat great for walking and there are many cycle lanes. Everywhere is  accessible but a decent walk. We have visited many sites in Spain & Lo Monte is certainly 5 star. J&M.

We booked in for aweek, left after 4 nights. The site kindly refunded the unused nights. The site itself is fine - large level pitches with shade. Power, water, TV connection and grey water connection on each pitch. Sanitation blocks plentiful, modern and clean. A small indoor swimming pool that you need to book sessions over the weekend. Outdoor pool was closed. There are 2 playgrounds for children, a kids club which, bizarrely, was celebrating Halloween on 16th & 17th October. One can only assume that Halloween will be a three weekend event this year at Lo Monte. The kids enjoyed it all. Not sure the long term staying retirees of many nationalities enjoyed it as much. We didn\\\'t mind a bit of Euro pop belting out. It all stopped at 9pm and they weren\\\'t noisy too late as on some other sites we\\\'ve been. It is situated on the edge of a small town. It is a 1.5 mile walk to the marina, promenade, beaches and bars. There are UK bars, an Irish bar and some great tapas bars. A great ice cream place which does some old school sundaes, splits etc. Delicious. We walked into the town every day we were there - 3 times. We\\\'re not ones for sitting on beaches, we\\\'ll walk - not sunbathe. There are 3 lovely little beaches in Horadada, a marina and a 16th century fort. We felt we\\\'d \\\'done\\\' it in 3 days. The problem for us was noise, external to the site. It is very close to the AP7 motorway and the N340. The town has lovely long straight boulevards that \\\'boy racers\\\' use at night with motorbikes. Town sites, occupational hazard. However, when we were there, at 8am every morning (including weekends) the local, very local by the nearness of them, utilized gas operated explosive bird scarers. This morning til gone 10am. It sounds like shot guns going off right next to you!!! Might be a seasonal thing but it scared us off!!

this is a very large site on the edge of Pilar de Horradados. the pitches are very large many obviously occupied by long stayed and Spanish families. the toilet/ shower facilities are excellent although some pitches maybe some distance away. very good site wide WiFi with TV hookups on the pitches providing UK TV. as well as other nationalities TV. there are two pools outdoors and one indoor plus sauna steam room and gym. the bar/restaurant is welcoming and has a good range of food and drinks in both the bar area and outdoor terrace. the town and coast is a ten minutes flat walk or five minute cycle.

I confer with previous reviews this is a 5* campsite. The facilities are excellent, pools, pitches with electric,water and grey waste are of various sizes from 7x7 mtrs to American RV size. The indoor pool house is heated 31c with sauna, swimming cap needed. Beach 25mn walk, plenty of eateries on the way + beach cafes with excellent ice cream. Recommended campsite

really good campsite all plots are huge .facilities really good. toilets showers wash up areas etc spotless. plenty of hot water only fault on camp was when we went for a drink there is no bar so use the restaurant and was directed to a table to sit down at furthest away and in the sun even though most tables where empty and under shade we eventually picked our own table
only faults for us out of the camp is its situation in the middle of a built up area beaches a good 20 minute walk one supermarket 2 bars and an indian restuarant 15 minute walk and thats it .if you have a campervan or motorhome unless your packing it up everyday to drive somewhere theres very little about and not a lot to do
if its to just to sit about and do nothing its a perfect site

we have been here on a number of occasions normally Sept/Oct,this was the first time in June.Campsite had a totally different feel as it is now set up for the Spanish holiday season.Most of the better pitches taken up by permanent Spanish set ups which looked a mess with old caravans tents etc.Each pitch has a high sun shade cover which are good. Most pitches have water,waste and 16amp electrice including 4kw a day free,then metered.First women on reception not very helpful or friendly,others really nice.Weekend invasion of Spanish families(yes it is Spain) on the friday afternoon with 200 kids running wild with no real control,took over both swimming pools which are great if you can use it,Sunday tea time it was back to a quiet campsite.We love the area plenty to do and see if you get out and about,we cycled for miles.Plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance.Would return again but not this time of year,would not survive another weekend!!

covered terrace which welcomed dogs. Yet we left after a week of our two week, prepaid stay.
The village is deathly quiet, walking through it at any time of day was like a scene from a 1960s sci fi film. Around a 20 minute walk to the beaches, which ban dogs all year round. After a few days we had explored everything in walking distance, so thought we\\\'d take the bus, having researched the service before booking the site. No dogs allowed, even our 6kg pooch in his carrier. Unless we\\\'d wanted to pre book, download a form, then put him in the luggage hold!
If you have a hound, wouldn\\\'t recommend for a, long stay unless you have transport.
