Very disappointed with this site. Bushes were been used by dogs and people as toilets. Very noisy at night. Received lots of rules but none were enforced. Roads were been used as race tracks - which broke the speed rules of the site.
Fantastic site. Visited with friends in our motorhomes both of us had children and Grandchildren visiting for half term. They had a fabulous time will certainly go back next year. So much for the children beautiful pools for all abilities. We were out of season but weekends did tend to be busy with weekend visitors but not a problem. Excellent value. Loads of places to go taxi cheap.
Lovely big modern site. Very big pitches., all with EHU, water, drainage and TV connection (you need a co-ax cable). Excellent, fast wifi but you do have to wait 24-48 hours to be connected. Staff all very courteous and helpful. Facilities modern and clean. Good laundry, plenty of washers and driers. Site security excellent.
There is a large, pleasant palm lined central plaza with a small but adequate supermarket (wonderful baguettes baked on the premises), the bar is good, tables inside and out on the plaza. Prices very reasonable. The food in the bar is good but not exceptional, Catral about one mile from the site has some better restaurants.
The indoor and outdoor pools are all fantastic and spotlessly clean, there may be an additional charge for the indoor pool. The spa (additional charge) is fun. There is padel tennis, tennis, Spanish classes and pétanque, which we really enjoyed - beginners welcome.
A lot of people overwinter here but they are mostly very friendly and welcoming.
We stayed much longer than we originally intended.
We stayed for just one night and wouldn\'t choose this site again other than if we needed a stopover in the area again. The site is very large and has amazing facilities. The toilet/shower blocks are fantastic. The pitches lack any form of character. We tried to use ACSI but couldn\'t manoevre onto the pitch they gave us so we had to \'upgrade\' at quite a cost! The wifi wasn\'t working. All in all we felt even some of the less expensive sites were better value for money.
We happened across this campsite by accident. it is a very large site. We like cycling and found the locals do too, it was brilliant for road bikes with lots of roads that were flat but hard due to wind direction. Hard out to the coast, easy coming back. lots of road routes and the mountains are also accessible. Super markets are a short drive away. The campsite is geared up for food with restaurant and bar on site we didn\'t use either but they are there. On site supermarket seemed well stocked. The toilets were excellent when cleaned by staff unfortunately not a lot of blokes know how to use a loo brush, but that\'s not the sites fault.
We booked for a week but only managed 2 nights. Pitches are large but totally lacking in privacy. May as well camp in a car park. Soulless. Added charges for everything. WiFi non existent. After informing the staff of WiFi problem we were told to wait for technician who did not turn up. So a wasted day. Showers were excellent and dog shower was useful. Shame dog owners always used the central walkway for dog toilet. The only pleasure from this site was leaving it.
This is the third visit to Marjal it is in very good conditions the showers toilets and disposal facilities are always spotless there lots of room for you to walk the dog, the shop is well stocked.
The local town of Catral has several super markets lots of bars and restaurants and a street market on Saturday.
We are doing a 6 months stay for the second time.
Lovely site with excellent toilet and shower blocks which are well maintained.
Excellent Gym although there is a small charge for the Spa.
There is a shop on site which is well stocked. The main town is within walking distance for the more active and is approx. ten minutes on a bike.
There are coach trips to destinations such as Cartagena and Murcia which is a plus for those with Motor Homes.
Classes in Spanish, Cookery, Archery and Line Dancing are also available and many are free.
A very large site with very good facilities suitable for short stays or for long term Winter stays
Great campsite for long or short stays. Fabulous facilities and very friendly staff. Good restaurant and bar. Large, clean pitches. Highly recommended.
We came to this site with high hopes as we love the Marjal at Guadarmar. Alas we were disappointed! The sports facilities were all expensive, extra charges for everything! The Internet was virtually non existent. We were told that the whole wifi system was being replaced and would definitely be done by Thursday.....
Thursday came and things got worse so we went to ask again. We were told by another member of staff that there had never been plans to improve the Internet service to the site!! Internet coverage was worse here than anywhere we have stayed in Spain during the last two months. The staff didn\'t seem to care, we told them that the Internet in Marjal Guardamar was excellent, they just shrugged and said it was because this site is bigger!
Other than this, the site is good, sanitary facility are very good if a bit smelly, the dog grooming rooms are first class although my dogs may not agree! The bar is good but the food is only average. We will not return here again.
